Rain and wind not making for a good Saturday here on Oneida Lake. Just a couple brave folks went out and nobody is straying too far from shore. Did get a couple solid crappie and bass (jigs and crankbaits in shallow water) reports in from the Big Bay area. We are also hearing of more walleye from waders/shore areas in the last couple of days in the early evening. Walleye action still strong this week from 8 to 35 FOW, blades and jigs. Stick shallow early and move to the deeper water as the day progresses.
Looks like the rain will end for good sometime mid-morning on Sunday, still a bit concerned about the wind though for the second half of Sunday–that breeze may stick with us into Monday. The balance of the work week looks good from a weather perspective going forward into the holiday weekend.
