A flat hot start to the day with the threat of storms increasing through the day. Those heading out for the fireworks on Sylvan Beach should take a look at the weather first. The storms could be severe this afternoon and hit or miss showers during the Sylvan Beach fireworks. If you are planning to head out to the fireworks, I’d check the news first as the rain looks like it may be steady tonight.
Great reports are still coming in on the same patterns as the last few days with the walleye remaining in the deeper water. Also still getting a lot of large mouth action from the southwestern portion of the lake.
Congratulations to Joey Chestnut who set a new world record yesterday by eating 74 hot dogs at the annual Nathan’s Famous July Fourth hot dog eating contest, which is the Daytona 500 of the competitive eating racket. This is Chestnut’s 11th title and certainly places him in the conversation of greatest athlete of all time 🙂
