Well, the rain hit a bit later than expected yesterday and the temperature is on the rise through the day eventually hitting 50F overnight before things begin to drop back to normal eventually on Friday. Saturday looks cold and blustery with a high in the low 20s. Both Friday and Saturday look pretty windy and things will calm down on that end for Sunday.
The ice on Oneida Lake is good and slippery, bring creepers for sure and we have water on top of the ice. We still have plenty of ice, but holes are continuing to enlarge. Shore access has remained generally good but continue to increase the caution–please watch for the increased runoff. More folks are moving around looking for the fish. Early bite for walleye has been okay the last couple of days before it has been turning slow further into the day.
