The weather is much more settled after a roller coaster of a week. A high today in the upper 20s, a bit of wind today before things calm down even more for Sunday.
Another emergency response last night on Oneida Lake with several fire companies and a helicopter involved, local fire companies are stressing the usual precautions. There are a lot of pressure cracks and snow drifts out there, but machines are moving around the lake. Pay special attention to the creeks and shorelines as we had a lot of runoff this week from the warmer temperatures, still some slush but that is firming up.
A good bite coming in from Big Bay, but a lot of pickerel in the mix. South shore is producing more walleye and the perch bit is steady on the north shore.
