A couple of things to keep your eyes on. First, we have a threat of severe weather today, the forecast calls for a warm day with a high of 82F (wow), with a few possibly strong storms for midday through the overnight. Second, there is a ton of debris in the lake, particularly along the north shore. We have seen wooden docks that have broken free along with dock parts along with sticks and branches. Keep your eyes open and also follow us on Twitter @oneidafishing for weather alerts. The lake level came down a bit yesterday but is still very close to flood level.
Walleye activity is picking up, still trolling moving slowly–darker colors today, the Slow Death Hook is your friend. We got several reports of limits with people trolling (1 1/2 to 2 oz. bottom bouncers) to find them and then dropping sonars down–still a very wide variety of colors doing the job. There are a couple of massive schools of perch still, one is off Godfrey Point, another off Edgewater and into the Beach area. Black and gold and black and silver jigging raps and bucktails in those schools.
