Strong Bite Continues

Spread the love

We still have a strong bite going in spite of the mayfly hatch.  This picture was provided to us by a guest at Anglers’ Bay showing us a full belly from a walleye caught on the drop off along the north shore.

Trolling worm harnesses as well as stick baits in 22 to 32 FOW is proving effective for walleye.  Those relying on a drift will be stuck with a pretty flat lake today as the lake is like glass this morning and is expected to remain calm through the day.  Reports are indicating faster trolling speeds as we are not hearing of too many people moving slower than 1.0 mph.  28 boats last night for Walleye Wednesday as that event continues to grow.  Just a reminder that the trolling seminar is tonight at Lakeside Outfitters (corner of 31 and Lewis Point Road).  We will be posting some video from that event for those that cannot make it.

Still getting a lot of bass reports from those using tubes, we are finally starting to see some weed growth arriving now as well.

Also, check back later for a new video today.
