Some flat days this week slowed the action down, but not by much as we continue to get tons of reports of walleye limits along with decent perch catches while trolling. Speed remains in the 1.4 to 1.6 area on a variety of colors: purple, chartreuse, orange, and perch patterns are all being used to grab fish. A cool start to the morning before we make our way up to nearly 90F today, last night’s storm was brief but packed a decent punch. Action along the drop off across the north shore remains strong in the deeper water.
The weather has remained fairly dry but we do have storms in the forecast each day through Tuesday before the heat backs off for the middle of next week.
We are still getting nice reports of smallies being taken across Shakleton Shoal with tubes and creature bait.
