Evening Bite

Spread the love

We are heading into another hot stretch with daily highs at, over, or close to 90F for the next seven days.  We should stay dry today, just a minor possibility of a passing shower, but the wind will pick up as the day progresses.

Trolling speeds continue to range from 1 to 1.5, while the action is not as hot as a few weeks ago, a ton of walleye are still being taken.  Plenty of reports of limits from 20 to 40 FOW and some great action working just outside of the weed beds in shallower water.  The bulk of the reports of limits are coming in from 5 to 8pm as the evening bite continues to produce.

The Cleveland Dock project looks like it is close now and things look fantastic.  Paving has been done and it looks like just the landscape is left.

The DEC is considering increasing the daily limit of walleye on Oneida Lake from three to five and they want your opinion.  To learn more and voice your opinion, head over to the DEC’s site to take a brief survey, responses are being taken until July 7.
