Looks like Oneida Lake got anywhere from an additional four to six inches overnight, which is sitting right on top of the ice at this point–there are bare spots and drifts, but a good blanket. A bit more snow tomorrow morning before it warms past freezing and we get some rain later in the day with a high of 40F. According to the extended forecast, that will be the last day in January where it even gets over 30F with the outlook calling for cooler than normal temperatures through the end of the month. The barometer is rising today and is expected to fall again tomorrow through sunset.
There are some drifts out there and some warnings regarding pressure cracks. Reports that came in favored the east end and right around/after (30-60 mins.) dusk.
