Clearing Today

Spread the love

Boy that rain would not stop yesterday.  Expect fog early today with cool temperatures before we warm into the 70s.  We will get a bit of wind later today so expect a bit of chop.  Still a bit cooler tomorrow, but we are looking at cracking into the 80s on Friday and a great day expected for Saturday.  Some rain here and there for Sunday and Monday but workable as of now.

Still getting decent reports of walleye activity off Sylvan Beach and around Lewis Point, though a good number got skunked down there over the last couple of days.  Did get some nice reports on black and purple bucktail jigs getting down just a bit off the bottom of the lake.  Most people are working the shallow water to start the day today.  We are getting better perch reports from the western third of the lake than anywhere else and bass continue to be found on the beds with some topwater lures providing effective at times.

We are expecting the lake to finally begin to warm up over the weekend, getting surface temperatures in the mid-50s still.  Still getting increasing reports of bullheads coming into shore in the evenings and several nice reports of northerns from various points.
