Sloppy Mix

Spread the love

Precipitation in the forecast today and tomorrow with temperatures remaining above freezing.  Things drop back below freezing Thursday night and we will stay there until at least the early part of next week.  The snow from the storm coming later this week, as of now, is predicted to accumulate well north of Oneida Lake.  We could benefit nicely from a snow-free late season cold snap and be setup well moving into March.

We have reports of decent activity from both the north and south shore again.  More and more reports with spoons over jigging raps, but both are getting the job done.  Most are opting to start deep and work from there.  The drag was reasonable yesterday, but early reports today indicate a bit more of a struggle, still not too bad for those walking.  Creepers are a must, word has it that an ATV has gone through today just off Dutchman Island, he’s okay.  Be extra careful around the tributaries, things are already a bit questionable from the runoff and this rain is not going to help things.
