Not Much Going On

Very few folks out yesterday and today fishing Oneida Lake.  The shoreline reports indicate better access from the south shore than the north.  Travelling around the north shore, it almost looks like one day of rain or significant run-off is going to make access very tricky or impossible.  We expect the north shore to deteriorate pretty quickly on Sunday and into Monday.  Very warm temperatures with rain to start next week will likely mark the end of the season.  There are a lot of big holes out there, a spud and extreme caution should be used moving forward.  The canal is wide open in the beach and we expect to see some people out there over the weekend as more and more people are opting to stay off the ice.  Looking at the extended forecast, any hope of a refreeze is gone as ice conditions will only get worse daily from Sunday on.
